Daniel Longhurst

Creative Enabler

Daniel is a Derby born dance artist, graduating from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance with a focus on physicality, improvisation and contact work at the core of his practice.

Daniel has worked inclusively as a creative since graduating, informed by his life experiences as an informal carer to his non-verbal autistic brother. This led to residency opportunities housed by Level Centre, as well as performing on tour with Level for their immersive PMLD-centred performance piece, In the Mix: Remix. Daniel has also worked as a performer for dance film projects, including Manchester International Festival, Joss Arnott Dance, Constella Opera Ballet, and Adaire To Dance.

He enjoys all opportunities that allow him to pull from his experiences to give to creative spaces, supporting others, as well as breaking stigma for male involvement within dance.
