Creative Enabler

Georgia is a community dance facilitator, choreographer, performer, and massage therapist based in Sheffield.

They trained at the Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance in Germany, followed by an MA at The Place. They have worked across dance, site-specific and immersive theatre and film, including Persona Collective, Shobana Jeyasingh, LANDMARKING and Hallam Sinfonia.

Georgia teach weekly open level movement classes and guest teach for 50+ Contemporary Dance Sheffield and Yorkshire Movement and Dance. They have just received DYCP funding and over the next year, will be building an inclusive, trauma-informed practice to create projects for vulnerable and at risk groups.

Georgia’s practice is informed by their identity as a queer neurodivergent person, together with an urge to create spaces for adults from all walks of life to connect through movement, storytelling and self-expression. Whether facilitating, choreographing or performing, They strive to platform marginalised, honest and vulnerable voices, allowing important stories to be heard.
