Ruth is a community dance artist based in the West Midlands with a huge passion for giving everyone the chance to dance. After completing a BA Hons in Contemporary Dance at Trinity Laban, Ruth enjoyed performing professionally before she found her passion of teaching. Performance highlights include: How to Hold Your Breath by Zinnie Harris at Royal Court, Summer contract at Disneyland Paris and, Nobody’s Baby by Arthur Pita at Royal Opera House.
Ruth has enjoyed teaching dance for several years to all ages from early years to older adults. She has a big passion for wanting to make dance accessible to all, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere to allow individuals’ creativity to grow and shine.
Ruth has extensive experience working in inclusive settings and regularly delivers sessions on the National Inclusive Dance programme for Sense the national disability charity across Birmingham, Dance to Health classes for older adults in the Black Country and Connection Dance, a legacy group from Critical Mass 2022.
Ruth cannot wait to start the community Anjali classes in Dudley and meet everyone in September! It’s going to be lots of fun.
