Samantha Lane
Dance Artist
After graduating from the Northern School of Contemporary Dance with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance, Sam worked as a freelance dancer, performing with different London based dance groups and with Kent based dance company Urban Dance as a dancer, choreographer, teacher, and youth company leader. Choreography work includes Magpie Dance, Urban Dance and different youth companies and projects.
Post performing, Sam completed a PGCE at the Royal Academy of Dance and has taught dance full-time in further and secondary education taking on the role of Head of Dance for 16 years, which brought her to live in the West Midlands.
In 2021 Sam returned to working as a freelance teacher, choreographer, manager, and support worker, working with different organisations including Critical Mass, Lichfield Festival, Insight Total Theatre, and One Dance UK, and is also an examiner for Pearson Awarding Body.
Sam is passionate about high quality inclusive dance provision for children, young people, and adults, and is thrilled to be supporting Anjali’s youth class.
